| The very first time my name is in print! |
This site acts as a platform for anyone at all to showcase their love for writing poetry. The best part is that they are very flexible in allowing all sorts of submissions as long as poems are kept within 3 lines.
My friend submitted a poem and got hers accepted so on the 28th of March i decided to try my luck and submitted one. The poem i submitted was inspired by the damage caused to a building opposite my apartment block after a terrible fire. I really didn't expect it to get accepted at all so i was elated and over the moon when i found out it was.
I'm even more thrilled now that they released a print version as a short paperback book. I'm very happy to present the cover page picture for it. It is simply beautiful and there are many great poems inside by various people.
It's especially awesome for me because it's the first time my name has actually made it into any sort of print =) it wouldn't have been possible if not for some very special friends of mine who are constantly reminding me to pursue my dreams no matter what =)
This blog.... these posts that i put up.... they are not meant in a narcissitic "oh aren't i great" way... no it's the opposite, i do it to remind myself that i'm not totally a failure so that i can go on. Anyways thank you if you read this i appreciate it. If you are interested in buying the book (I get no $$ from the sales of it) than you can at (https://www.createspace.com/3588498) the price is pretty reasonable at $12.95 (i think it's US currency but i'm not too sure so my sincere apologise if I am wrong)
